The Association, which represents the whole of the UK chemical supply chain, was also shortlisted for the ‘Crisis Management Award’ and the ‘Innovation of the Year Award’, with the latter being highly commended by the judging panel.

Now in their 20th year, the TAF Awards 2023 are supported by the Department for Business and Trade and recognise excellence, innovation, and best practice amongst trade associations across every sector in the UK.

Embracing the vision

Tim Doggett, CEO of the CBA said: “Since becoming CEO nearly two years ago, we have embarked on a period of evolution, and I want to thank the entire team for embracing this vision. It is extremely rewarding to be recognised by your peers, as we continue to strive for excellence in the support we provide not only our members, but the chemical supply chain and the wider chemical industry as a whole.”

Kate Mingay, managing director of Dakram Materials and Chair of the CBA said: “This is a very special highlight of my time as Chair of the Chemical Business Association, I am so proud of the team and that they have received this well-deserved recognition for all of their hard work and many achievements in representing members and the chemical supply chain.”

Delivering for members

Emily Wallace, chief executive of TAF and Chair of the judging panel said: “The CBA has clearly had a fantastic year delivering excellent member engagement and sector representation. The judges commented on their success in engaging members effectively, mobilising quickly on key issues, and were impressed with how they collaborated with multiple Government departments to deliver for members.”
