Phillips 66 to sponsor fuel industry Expo

UKIFDA has announced that the hugely popular industry Expo will be back at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool next year and will be sponsored by Phillips 66 Limited.

Taking place on the 27th & 28th April, the EXPO will be joined by the future fuels conference and the reunion dinner and awards ceremony.

It will be the first time in three years that the industry has been able to meet physically and will be viewed by many as a reunion. Since its inception in 1980 the UKIFDA EXPO has always been the central event of the industry calendar and is still the most important trade exhibition in the UK for anyone involved in the distribution of liquid fuels.

The 2021 virtual EXPO proved highly successful with over 50 exhibitors, 700 delegates and two full days of conference sessions – an outcome which served to highlight the importance of the event to the industry.

Ken Cronin UKIFDA CEO commented: “While the virtual EXPO of 2021 was a great success nothing beats meeting physically. UKIFDA EXPO 2022 brings back that feeling but incorporates some of the things we have all learned over the last few years – yes, we can do things differently, but we must look at not only our heritage but also the future.

“It is also fantastic to reveal Phillips 66 Limited as our headline sponsor. Phillips 66 has been a major part of UKIFDA EXPO for a large part of our history and we will be working closely with them to make this event a great success. I look forward to meeting everyone in April.”

Renee Semiz, managing director, UK Marketing, Phillips 66 Limited commented: “We are delighted to support UKIFDA and the EXPO 2022, particularly at a time when representing distributors and our industry has never been more important. We look forward to welcoming our customers (in person!) to Liverpool and working with UKIFDA to deliver a memorable event.”

Dawn Shakespeare UKIFDA Membership and Events Manager commented “This year we will see some old favourites back like the dinner and drinks reception but also new concepts like the future fuels conference and the UKIFDA EXPO APP which will be used extensively ahead of the event to create a buzz and inform the two days we meet physically. With plans for new features, the industry has this fantastic opportunity to tap into a huge buying audience year-after-year. We visited Liverpool recently to meet the team and we cannot wait to get started and welcome all our exhibitors and visitors through the doors of Exhibition Centre Liverpool and UKIFDA EXPO 2022!”
