LCM strengthens diversification with solar financing

LCM Environmental has joined forces with Orca Finance to eradicate the heavy upfront solar costs for its customers.

LCM/Orca partnership

Orca is a finance provider, working with 95 different lending institutions, readily helping businesses, regardless of their size and financial situation. The two companies ‘dived’ into the deep end together to push LCM’s latest endeavour to push solar energy amongst their wide customer base and prompt more businesses to take the ‘green’ route forward.

LCM significantly expanded its Clean Energy division in September 2024 with a further private acquisition, which significantly increased the in-house capacity and service offerings – anything from EICRs and PAT testing through solar and EV installation to full electrical contracting and bespoke net zero package deals.

High upfront cost

One of the issues identified for purchasing solar was the relatively high upfront cost associated with the investment, even though it has a provenlong-term return on investment. To mitigate the obstacles in their clients’ way, LCM partnered with a renowned finance lender, Orca, to support their customer base on their journey to Net Zero.

Paul Rava, Managing Director of LCM comments: “Our Clean Energy division has a great potential of development, and we plan to grow it and invest in it. The one thing we couldn’t tackle was the high upfront costs associated with the transition to solar and EV. Partnering with Orca, this will no longer be an issue for our customer base. Offering commercial financial options on high-value purchases will help their cash flow and lead the way to improve the efficiency of their buildings and infrastructure. We couldn’t be happier to work with Marc and his team.”

Marc McLoughlin, CEO of Orca Finance, adds: “We’re very proud to support LCM and their clients in making the transition to clean energy more accessible and affordable. At Orca, we’ve helped businesses across the UK invest in solar and EV solutions through tailored finance options that work with their cash flow – not against it. This partnership is all about removing barriers and accelerating the adoption of green technologies. Together with LCM, we’re making it easier for more businesses to take meaningful steps toward net zero.”
