Essar highlights fuel values in motorsport deal

Essar UK has announced a new sponsorship deal with Justin Sherwood and Team Parker Racing for the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Series.

New sponsorship deal highlights shared values for Essar and Porsche.

The company’s support coincides with Justin’s pursuit of his fifth Championship win as he competes in the AM Class, the UK’s premier single-manufacturer sports car competition. Justin’s new look car was unveiled recently sporting the iconic Essar logo with orange and red symbol.

As the Porsche Carrera Cup GB enters its 21st season in 2023, it is the perfect opportunity for ambitious drivers to prove themselves within the world of motorsport. Likewise, Essar sees this association with Porsche, a company it regards as having a desire to deliver greater success coupling high performance fuels with low carbon ambitions, as the perfect opportunity to showcase its high-performance fuels to drivers.

Shared values

Essar sees its values of expertise, entrepreneurship and experience as the same ones demonstrated by Justin and the team as they begin this new season of the Porsche Carrera Cup competition as Carlos Rojas, Chief Marketing Officer at Essar UK, explains: “We are really excited about this new sponsorship and its synergy with our brand values and huge commercial ambitions and growth plans.

“We are committed to growing our brand presence in the UK and have recently launched a new retail proposition for our forecourt business as we expand our geographic footprint across the country.”

With four Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship wins under his belt and about to start his 10th season in the Carrera Cup, Justin Sherwood, driving for Team Parker Racing, has great experience and Essar is looking forward to supporting him throughout the season ahead.

Justin is also looking forward to the partnership: “I am delighted that Essar UK has chosen to sponsor us this season. I look forward to working with them over this season’s racing as I focus on the challenge of once again retaining my Porsche Carrera Cup championship title.”
