The UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA) has opened nominations for its annual Innovation Award.

UKIFDA EXPO 2024: Award winners and runners-up announced.

Sponsored by the Fuel Oil News, the award invites companies of all sizes to showcase their innovative contributions to the advancement of liquid fuel distribution and is the perfect opportunity to share sector achievements.

Rewarding leading innovation

The Innovation Award recognises businesses that are leading change through innovative ideas, technologies and new approaches – pushing the liquid fuel distribution industry forward.

Explaining more about what the judges are looking for, Ken Cronin, CEO of UKIFDA, said: “Maybe there is a groundbreaking product or service that advances fuel distribution, a new business model or concept that significantly impacts the sector. It could be a partnership or trial that introduces a fresh approach with proven results – we can’t wait to see what’s out there this year!

“Winning or being nominated for a UKIFDA Award not only provides recognition from industry experts but also enhances brand trust. Join us in recognising the commitment and excellence in the liquid fuel distribution industry.”

Commenting on the award launch, Margaret Major, Publishing Director for award sponsor Fuel Oil News, said: “As the communication hub of the community, it’s our privilege to share industry developments.

“It is crucial that we recognise companies that are innovating in our vital industry, improving the business of fuelling customers across a broad array of sectors, or delivering a pathway to a low carbon future. It is also a vital factor in motivating others in the industry to find solutions to overcome challenges.

“This is our fourth year sponsoring this important award, and each year we have been extremely impressed with the entries. We are very much looking forward to seeing what 2025 brings!”
