With nearly 1,400 attendees, 85 exhibitors and 24 speakers, this year’s event surpassed expectations, featuring high calibre stands and a thought-provoking conference programme that covered a wide range of topics crucial to the industry’s development.
Insider knowledge
The conference sessions provided attendees with invaluable knowledge, from a look at what’s next for the market, delivered by industry expert James Spencer, to an inside journey through the seats of Parliament from George Eustice MP, where he shared insight into the political landscape shaping the industry.
Discussions also delved into decarbonising Ireland, updates on the latest in future fuels activity, how data and systems integration are revolutionising the liquid fuel distribution sector and explored the promising potential of hydrogen within the industry.
EXPO Dinner
One of the event’s highlights was the UKFIDA EXPO Dinner, sponsored by Mabanaft, which started with the President’s Drinks Reception, sponsored by FoxInsights, held at the end of the first day where industry leaders and professionals gathered to celebrate excellence and innovation within the sector.
Six prestigious awards were presented to deserving individuals, committed companies, and pioneering products that are driving the industry forward.
Reflecting on the success of the exhibition, UKIFDA CEO Ken Cronin commented: “The
‘Working Together in Changing Times’ theme certainly reflected the sentiment at EXPO this year. Already, we are receiving positive feedback, especially from exhibitors regarding the quality of the leads gained.
“I’d like to thank all of the engaging exhibitors, insightful conference speakers, our brilliant sponsors, especially Phillips 66, and all the attendees who made the journey to Liverpool. The event truly showcased the strength and vitality of the fuel distribution industry. We’ll be building on this momentum as we look ahead to next year’s event.”
EXPO 2024 concluded with a well-attended After Show Drinks Reception hosted by sponsor Kingspan, providing attendees with an opportunity to network, unwind and discuss the key takeaways from the event.
With this year’s event now over, preparations are already underway for next year’s one-day Show & Conference, which is set to take place at Leeds Arena on 14th May 2025. Bookings are now open, and interested parties are encouraged to secure their spots early for what promises to be another impactful event.
