The award recognises tanker drivers who demonstrate consistently high delivery standards, a strong safety record, exceptional customer service and a positive contribution to their wider team.
Nominations close on 26 February 2026.
UKIFDA is encouraging entries from member companies of every size, and Chief executive Ken Cronin says the awards offer an opportunity to highlight professionalism across the sector: “Whether you operate a national fleet or a single depot, every organisation has drivers who make a real difference.
“Submitting an entry is straightforward and a great way to spotlight the professionalism within your team. Even being shortlisted provides valuable recognition from industry experts and builds trust among customers, partners and suppliers.”
What makes a winning driver?
Nominees should be stand-out drivers who demonstrate professionalism, skill and dedication. Demonstrating a high level of competence and conduct, nominated drivers will exhibit such traits as consistent adherence to best practice, championing safe delivery procedures, demonstrating strong customer service and problem-solve under pressure and will be those who take a constructive, supportive approach with colleagues.
Entry criteria require nominees to be employed by a UKIFDA member company, hold a clean and valid driving licence, and have been incident- and conviction-free for at least two years. Entries must be submitted by the driver’s manager or proposer.
