Taking place later this week, the event, which is back in Aberdeen after a 30-year hiatus and expected to attract around half a million spectators.
It is the first time Certas Energy has supplied fuel and tankers and staff from the independent distributor will support the refuelling as the ships arrive in Aberdeen Port prior to the start of the four-day event.
With depots near every major UK port, Certas has more than two decades of marine fuelling experience. Robust procurement standards ensure a year-round supply of high quality marine fuel.
Gavin Wood, Regional Director for Marine, Terminals & Scottish Islands at Certas Energy, said: “As soon as we heard the Tall Ships Races were to take place in Aberdeen this year, we wanted to be a part of it and help supply the fuel. This is a huge event for the city, so ensuring a smooth refuelling for the ships will be our main focus.
“Our reliable supply of high-quality marine fuels and nationwide distribution network puts Certas Energy in a good position to support vessel owners and operators with their fuel needs.”
