Industry unites to innovate and collaborate at UKIFDA Show 2025

The leading trade event in the liquid fuel distribution sector, the UKIFDA Show 2025 (14 May 2025), brought together hundreds of professionals from across the UK and Ireland’s liquid fuel distribution industry at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.

The future for liquid fuels debate at Speakers Corner

This year’s gathering highlighted innovation, leadership and collaboration at a transitional time for the sector.

With over 700 plus attendees, 51 exhibitors and 12 speakers, in what was the second of this well-received biennial one-day format, this year’s event took the theme ‘Be Part of the Solution’.

Inspiring insights

Reflecting on the Show’s success, UKIFDA CEO Ken Cronin commented: “For this year, we wanted innovation to generate conversation. We introduced ‘Speakers’ Corner’ – a dynamic forum inspired by Hyde Park’s original free speech platform. This shifted the focus from formal presentations to engaging discussions and proved popular with attendees.

“Thanks to all of our engaging exhibitors, insightful show speakers, our generous sponsors, especially Phillips 66, and all the attendees who made the trip to Leeds. The event truly showcased the strength and vitality of the liquid fuel distribution industry. Here’s to next year’s event – we’re planning already!”

The packed agenda featured a stimulating debate on the future of liquid fuels, with voices from across the nations. Other notable sessions covered the impact of high-profile figures like Donald Trump on market dynamics and the role of tax and regulation within the industry, all topics crucial to the industry’s development.

In a UKIFDA Show-first, a live podcast hosted by industry expert Alex Wolfe featured some truly inspiring insights from past winners of the UKIFDA Young Person of the Year Award.

Recognising industry excellence

Excellence in the sector was also celebrated through the popular annual UKIFDA Awards, with six presentations taking place throughout the day and into the evening. Read more here.

Starting the evening events, the well-attended President’s Drinks Reception, hosted by UKIFDA President Phil Murray and sponsored by Otodata, provided attendees with an opportunity to network, unwind, and discuss the key takeaways from the day. Whilst the UKIFDA Show Evening Gathering, sponsored by Collins Youldon, saw an entertaining evening compere, prizes and surprises throughout the night – a fitting finale to a day of industry insights and innovation.

Next year’s two-day EXPO 2026 is set to take place at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool on 15 and 16 April 2026.
