Craggs Energy Group companies achieve prestigious renewable fuels scheme membership

Two leading UK fuel distributors – Craggs Energy and Moorland Fuels – have achieved a major milestone in their commitment to a low-carbon future, becoming approved members of the Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme (RFAS).

Both companies operate under the Craggs Energy Group and are now officially recognised as RFAS-approved suppliers of renewable diesel (HVO).

The RFAS, managed by the Zemo Partnership, provides independent verification of renewable fuel supply chains and offers access to certified Greenhouse Gas (GHG) data. This not only supports sustainability but also helps customers meet environmental goals and improve carbon reporting transparency.

Lisa Wilson, Marketing Manager for Craggs Energy, explained: “RFAS membership endorses Craggs Energy’s commitment to sustainability and a low carbon future for transport. It provides verification of Craggs Energy’s renewable fuel supply chain and gives customers the ability to access Greenhouse Gas (GHG) data, ensuring accurate and representative information for company carbon reporting.

“Managed by Zemo Partnership, RFAS membership aligns Craggs Energy closely with the wider objectives of the Partnership, which is a leading force in the development of innovative and collaborative solutions that are designed to achieve a low-carbon future within the transport sector.”

Vital reassurance

Moorland Fuels, based in Okehampton and serving Devon and Cornwall, echoed this commitment. “RFAS membership is a natural step on our journey to net zero,” said Matthew Crockett, Managing Director of both Craggs Energy and Moorland Fuels. “Our renewable diesel (HVO) supply chains undergo rigorous checks – from feedstock cultivation to distribution – providing customers with vital reassurance about the integrity and sustainability of their fuel supply.”

The RFAS not only strengthens both brands’ credibility in the renewable fuel market but also aligns them closely with the wider objectives of the Zemo Partnership, a key player in low-carbon transport solutions in the UK.

Matthew added: “We are thrilled to be part of the Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme and to collaborate with Zemo Partnership. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing carbon emissions and supporting businesses and individuals in their transition to more sustainable energy sources. We invite businesses and individuals to join us in making meaningful strides toward a greener future.

“Whether in the South West, Yorkshire, or the North West, our customers can be confident in a trusted and verified renewable fuel offering.”
