Eleven members of the team managed to cross the finish line just 23 hours after beginning the walk from the company’s head office in Cragg Vale. The 50 milers were joined by other members of the Craggs Energy team who walked shorter distances and offered support.
“Walking through the night is always tough and requires both a good level of physical endurance and mental strength,” said CEO Chris Bingham.
“This is even more important when you get through the night, dawn breaks and you still have another 30 miles to go! I’d like to thank everyone who made a donation and helped us to smash our initial £1,000 target, it really did spur us all on to complete the walk!”
Funds are being split equally between Watermark Fund Calderdale and The Christie Charity.
