“But this hasn’t always been the case,” said marketing coordinator Jennifer Roberts.
“It was back in July 2006 that Simon Haigh, now our operations manager, first set off on a four-hour trip to London to work on the MechTronic equipment on a customer’s vehicle. Excellent feedback led to Simon attending at more and more customer sites across the country.
“Realising that Simon was living on very little sleep and a diet of Red Bull, MechTronic took on two more service engineers to support the expanding popularity of its metering equipment. As service contracts were introduced, demand for engineers continued to grow.”
By 2008 MechTronic – now an ISO 9001-2008 accredited company – was approved as a self verifier by the National Weights & Measures (NWML) office. There are now eight NWML certified master meters sited around the UK, offering a yearly calibration as part of a service contract.
“As our technical support team has grown, we’ve had some brilliant feedback,” said Jennifer.
Geoff Dance, regional transport manager, Certas Energy said: “I would to thank Martin for his support this year, he has done his very best for my region and I have had very good feedback from the relevant depots he has attended.”
“Will and Martin – thanks for all your great service over the past year no matter how busy you are – you are always smiling,” Caroline Ellinor, driver and fleet controller, WP Group
“I’ve been very impressed with MechTronic’s service; Richard is very helpful and has a great attitude. I can’t speak highly enough of him,” Jeremy Cosway, operations manager, Craggs Energy
