With ‘a fresh approach to fuel retailing’ Essar Oil (UK), which owns and operates the Stanlow refinery, has taken the Forecourt Trader award which acknowledges initiatives undertaken by oil companies in the last twelve months to enhance their petrol retailing operations.

Essar entered the UK retail market with the opening of its first branded forecourt in November 2015 and currently has 19 sites operating under the Essar brand.  The company has confirmed ambitious plans to grow its retail network within the UK market to 400 sites over the next three years.

“It is heartening to gain recognition for our brand and ‘Clean and Fresh Approach’, where the offering to new dealers is simple, honest and with no hidden conditions,” said Essar Oil UK, chief commercial officer, retail, SB Prasad.

“Being judged by an independent jury of experts from the retail industry builds our confidence and belief in the complete package we’ve put together for dealers. We still have a long way to go, and will continue to improve and innovate for customer convenience, but recognition at this stage will help us grow our retail footprint faster.”
