The approval under reference number MG/P83/26, places the distributor among a small group of suppliers in Northern Ireland accredited as having met the scheme’s stringent requirements.
As an RFAS-approved supplier, Morgan Fuels & Lubes can supply RFAS-approved fuel, including Renewable Diesel (HVO) with 100% renewable fuel content, supported by the assurance, traceability and independent verification requirements of the scheme.
Supporting compliance, traceability and transparency
Operated by the Zemo Partnership, RFAS verifies renewable fuel supply chains, product provenance, compliance and greenhouse gas emissions reporting. It works alongside the UK’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) to provide businesses with confidence that renewable fuels are sourced through verified and traceable supply chains.
The scheme also enables customers to receive fuel supply-chain-specific greenhouse gas emissions data, supporting accurate carbon reporting and informed decarbonisation strategies.
A significant milestone for Northern Ireland
With growing interest in renewable fuels across a range of sectors, the approval highlights Morgan Fuels’ commitment to delivering solutions backed by transparency, governance and trusted industry standards.
The company expressed its pride at joining other approved suppliers in Northern Ireland in helping the region’s businesses transition towards lower-carbon operations.
Michael Morgan, Sales Director, Morgan Fuels & Lubes Ltd commented: “Achieving RFAS approval and joining a small group of approved suppliers in Northern Ireland is something we’re incredibly proud of. As demand for renewable fuels continues to grow, customers want more than just fuel supply; they want confidence, transparency and assurance.
“RFAS approval provides that assurance and further strengthens our position as a trusted partner for businesses looking to adopt lower-carbon fuel solutions without compromising operational performance.
“We see this as an important step not only for Morgan Fuels & Lubes, but also for the continued growth and adoption of renewable fuels across Northern Ireland and the wider UK.”
