The company says the new site will strengthen its ability to serve domestic and commercial customers across Teesside, County Durham, Darlington, Sunderland, York and North Yorkshire.
The depot team has been recruited locally, with OilMaxx highlighting the value of local knowledge and customer relationships as it expands its regional presence.
Ian Craven, Area Director at OilMaxx Middlesbrough, described the depot opening as “an exciting step forward for OilMaxx” and one which “demonstrates our commitment to customers across the North East”.
“By establishing a dedicated local presence, we’re able to provide faster response times, local expertise and the dependable service that our customers expect,” Ian says. “Our focus remains on delivering reliable products with outstanding customer service.”

Continued expansion
Part of the wider Oilfast Group, OilMaxx has continued to expand its footprint across England since launching in 2021, with the Middlesborough depot forming part of that growth strategy.
Domestic heating oil, commercial bulk fuels, Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), premium lubricants and licensed AdBlue® will be supplied from the new base, alongside a range of additional services for both domestic and commercial customers.
The new Middlesbrough depot is the latest step in Oilfast’s ongoing investment in regional supply infrastructure and comes just seven months after the official opening of its Dumfries depot.
