Eight new sites in Scotland have joined JET over the past 12 months, marking its greatest annual growth in the nation for over a decade.

From the highlands to the lowlands the new JET branded sites are Ayr Service Station, Boghall Service station in Bathgate, MFG Barclay Place in Edinburgh, Great Glen Service Station in Fort Augustus, MFG Sandymount in Glasgow, Highland Kilbirnie Service Station and Highland New Cumnock – both in Ayrshire, and Hillside Filling Station in Selkirk. The sites were formerly branded Shell, BP, Gulf and Highland Fuels. Existing JET stations are also performing well, with like-for-like site volumes in Scotland rising by 20% since 2019.

TV time

2023 also saw the first JET TV advertising in Scotland for many years – with the iconic Keep on Moving campaign launching on air in August 2023. Alongside the success of the TV ad, Wheel Spins – JET’s viral social media campaign led by a yellow-velvet-jacket-wearing 80s gameshow host, made its way to both Hillside Service Station and MFG Barclay Place. The campaign also included a number of social media activations that have, to date, clocked up millions of views and over 500M engagements since launching.

Graham Clout, UK Dealer Sales Manager, Phillips 66 Limited, said: “Scotland is a hugely important market for us, so we’re thrilled to see the number of JET-branded sites growing. We are a customer-first business and pride ourselves on nurturing and maintaining strong relationships – driving success for all our customers. In 2024, we’ve got lots of exciting plans, including growing our EV offering and renewed marketing activity for what is set to be an exciting year.”

JET is hoping to launch JET CHARGE EV facilities in four service stations across Scotland in 2024.
