Fuel Oil News Fantasy Premier Mini-league launches for the new season

Claudia Weeks, FON’s own content writer, was the clear winner for the 2025/26 season with two other members of the Fuel Oil News team featuring in the top six places.

Claudia Weeks FON FPL winner 2025/26

As its new mini-league launches, Fuel Oil News is challenging industry companies to enter in numbers to knock the FON team off it’s FPL perch!

“Claudia Weeks – she’s one of our own!”

That was the chant ringing around the Fuel Oil News offices earlier this year, as the 2025/26 Premier League season ended. It was, of course, in celebration of Claudia Weeks, Community Content Lead for Fuel Oil News, finishing the season top of the Fuel Oil News FPL mini- league 025/26, having amassed an impressive 2,331 points with her creatively named team – ‘Neville Wears Prada’!

Almost threw it away

Doing a bit of an Arsenal, Claudia started the season strongly and built on early gains to put herself in the running for the title. Having taken the lead as we entered the second half of the season, Neville Wears Prada suddenly hit a poor run of games, dropping down the table and bringing fresh hope to the teams below.

However, talk of a change of manager soon proved unfounded. After a switch in tactics and some shrewdly played chips produced a bumper crop of points, Claudia was firmly back in control. A strong run-in ultimately secured a well-deserved first title for Claudia.

Highs and lows

An impressive 66 managers competed in this year’s FON league with mixed fortunes along the way. More than 1,000 points separated the team at the bottom from the eventual winner.

Having finished the 2024/25 season with three representatives in the top 10, Claudia, Margaret and Adrian tightened FON’s hold on the league this year, with all three finishing in the top six.
