Facility tour gives Otodata customers a ‘behind-the-scenes’ view

Customers of Otodata were recently invited to the tank monitoring solutions provider’s Montreal headquarters for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility – where every Otodata monitor begins its journey.

Otodata factory visit

Precision in every step: The assembly line

Beginning their tour on the main production floor, guests witnessed the meticulous process of monitor assembly. From programming and testing the PC boards to fitting them with batteries and sealing them hermetically, every step is designed for durability and reliability. Cables are attached, and the monitor enclosures are ultrasonically sealed to ensure a seamless, waterproof finish. Each unit is then laser-etched with the Nee-Vo logo – or custom branded to customers’ requirements.

Moving to the shipping and receiving area, visitors were able to see how organisation and efficiency ensure timely delivery worldwide.

Clean tech: Surface mount technology (SMT) facility

The next stop was the SMT facility, where PC boards are populated with components using advanced surface mount technology.

Everyone suited up in anti-static gear before entering the cleanroom environment – an essential precaution to protect sensitive electronics from static discharge.

Winding down

After the factory tour, guests enjoyed lunch and a walk-through of the office area with stops including R&D, marketing, customer service, and quality control, where rigorous testing ensures every monitor meets Otodata’s exacting standards.

A presentation by Otodata President André Boulay was followed by a round-table with the leadership team that gave customers the opportunity to to share feedback and ask questions, bringing the day to a close.

An invitation

With the day proving a big success with those attending, Otodata is inviting customers who are interested in joining a future factory tour to get in touch through their sales representative.
