
Developed for applications where a fully bespoke access structure may not be necessary, MAS-Lite provides a flexible way to navigate pipework, conveyors, ducting and other equipment at ground or roof level.
The system is available in three configurations – Crossover-Lite, Stairway-Lite and Platform-Lite – allowing it to accommodate a range of site layouts and access requirements.
Industrial sites can change significantly during their working life as new equipment is installed, pipework is added and processes evolve. These changes can create access challenges that were not anticipated in the original site design.
While major working-at-height risks are an obvious safety consideration, IFC Inflow says everyday access routes also need attention. Operators required to step over pipework, work around installed equipment or negotiate changes in level can face avoidable risks where suitable access has not been provided.
A practical option
Commenting on the launch, Greg Clarke, Technical Director at IFC Inflow, said: “Sites change over time. Equipment gets added, pipework changes and processes develop, and that can leave operators having to work around access issues that weren’t part of the original site layout.
“Not every one of those situations needs a large bespoke structure, but the access still needs to be properly considered. We developed the Modular Access System to give sites a practical option for those more straightforward applications – providing a defined access route without adding unnecessary complexity.
“For us, it’s about applying the right level of engineering to the problem while keeping the focus on safe access for the people using the site every day.”
Manufactured from lightweight aluminium, MAS-Lite is designed to combine ease of handling with corrosion resistance and durability. Its modular construction allows assembly without on-site welding and incorporates slip-resistant steps, handrails and kicker plates.
The launch expands IFC Inflow’s existing range of engineered access and fall-prevention equipment, adding a modular option alongside its bespoke, site-specific systems.
IFC Inflow describes the system as part of its wider ‘Safety by Design’ approach, which aims to reduce risk through practical engineering appropriate to the site, application and people using it.
