FoxInsights extends FoxRadar and FoxPressure Generation 4 with external antenna and external power supply

FoxInsights has added two optional extensions to its FoxRadar (Gen 4) and FoxPressure (Gen 4) sensors to expand their capability.

FoxRadar extension options

The first option is an external antenna that routes the sensor’s radio path to the outside, ensuring reliable data transmission even in radio-challenging installation situations, such as in underground tanks, metal enclosures, or basements. The second option, an external power supply, frees the sensor from battery operation, enabling continual short measurement intervals, without battery life becoming the limiting factor.

More locations and greater reliability

“With these two extensions, we are making our proven Generation 4 platform even more flexible,” says Dr. Michael Kolb, CTO of FoxInsights.

“The external power supply in particular is a real leap forward: those who use it measure as often as the application requires, rather than as rarely as the battery dictates. That is a difference in data quality that our partners feel directly in their planning.”

“For our partners, this means, in concrete terms: more addressable locations and more reliable data from exactly those installations that were previously considered difficult,” Kolb continues. “We are giving them tools with which they can connect even more locations for their customers.”

Both extensions, available indivudally or combined, are designed to expand the sensors’ range of use without complicating installation.
