Senior industry figures and politicians feature in final EXPO speaker line-up

With just days to go, the UKIFDA EXPO & Conference 2026 (15 and 16 April) is set to deliver two days of insight, debate and industry leadership at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

Ken's Corner

Alongside the exhibition, where companies network, collaborate and showcase their innovations, attendees can also hear from policymakers, sector specialists and senior industry figures as we explore the challenges and opportunities ahead for liquid fuels and the wider energy distribution sector.

Day two – final speaker line up confirmed

Opening Day 2, in a change to the original agenda, Ken Cronin, CEO of UKIFDA, will share reflections on the last few weeks and demonstrate the opportunity for “Shaping the Future of Liquid Fuels” – the theme of this year’s event.

Cross Party Podcast Discussion

Alex Wolfe, host of the Wolf Club Podcast, will lead a panel of politicians – Conservative MP Harriet Cross, Sir Jake Berry of Reform UK and Councillor Carl Cashman of the Local Liberal Democrats – in a cross-party discussion.

Harriet Cross has been MP for Gordon and Buchan in Scotland since 2024. Born in Harrogate, she was brought up in West Cork before moving to Scotland.

Sir Jake Berry, born in Liverpool, was a Conservative MP for Rossendale and Darwen from 2010 to 2024. During this time, he held roles including Chair of the Conservative Party, Minister without Portfolio and Minister of State for the Northern Powerhouse and Local Growth. He joined Reform UK in July 2025.

Carl Cashman, also born in Liverpool, is the leader of the Liberal Democrats in Liverpool and serves as the leader of the opposition in Liverpool City Council.

Industry roundtable

The podcast will be followed by a roundtable of senior industry figures who will present their thoughts on the future of fuels:

  • Simon Holt, Managing Director, Emerging Energy, P66
  • Ruth Herbert, Chief Business Development Officer and Managing Director, EET Fuels
  • Edward Gill, Northwest Europe Communications & Public Affairs Lead, Exolum
  • David Wilson, Head of Inland Trading, Petroineos

Conference content – Day One

Attendees will hear from technical experts, policy voices and industry specialists, setting the stage for the political and strategic discussions that follow on Day Two.
