Sales of IMO 2020-compliant bunker fuels began at key ports around the globe in December. The volumes are still small as the 0.5% market is in its infancy, but suppliers are confirming they have now sold bunker quantities of LSFO.

The transition to IMO-compliant marine fuels is changing the fundamentals of the bunker industry. As a result, existing price references are no longer appropriate.
Argus has worked with ship owners and the bunker industry to produce a global portfolio of IMO-compliant price indexes. This infographic highlights key bunker ports where 0.5% fuel oil is currently assessed.
Last year over 800 market participants joined Argus Media for its annual Argus Crude and Products Forum in London.  This year’s event takes place on Tuesday 25th February during IP Week with the company hosting a series of free networking breakfasts on the same day.
