Celebrating 30 years at UK Road Tanker Inspection

After 30 years in business, UK RTI is proud to still offer the first-class service for which it is well-recognised.  Still family-run the business, which started life as Williams Tankers, was founded in 1989 by Bruce Williams.

The organisation quickly became the trusted, accredited service that it is today with customers confident in the knowledge that the safety of their tankers and drivers would be increased.
As part of the company’s celebrations, the UK RTI team invited customers and visitors to  join them at the recent FPS EXPO to raise a glass in recognition of the past 30 years, with many coming to toast the company’s continuing success which plays an integral part in the testing of the country’s road tankers.
UK RTI, which offers a nationwide service, has the highest number of mobile engineers available. Over the years, business success and reputation has continued to grow due to the service level provided by staff who work tirelessly to ensure first-class customer care.
“UK RTI has established and maintained a leading role in the inspection of road tankers,” said Kate Thompson, Bruce Williams’ daughter who became a director of the company aged just 16 and is now UK RTI’s chief executive.
“I am very proud of my team who are committed to excellent customer service,” added Kate.
“The team have the highest levels of expertise in their field and I am excited about the future and what we will accomplish.  By having a UK RTI road tanker testing service, a vehicle’s life is prolonged, it increases driver safety, reduces operator downtime whilst ensuring that legal requirements are met as well as saving a business time and money too. With PSSR inspections on non-hazardous vehicles and SLPs included in our service, we provide a simple solution to any inspection requirements.”

UK-RTI continues to be a leader in the ADR periodic and Leakproof Inspection Industry, providing the only Type C AIB which is accredited by UKAS and VCA to complete Exceptional Inspections after repair, reducing the cost and inconvenience of having two AIBs attending the same vehicle.
UK RTI is fully accredited to undertake general purpose vehicle inspections including bitumen vehicles.
