Further fuelling sites for Certas Energy

Last week Certas Energy opened a new bunker refuelling site at the ‘fechan Truckstop (Eardley International) in Scotland. Earlier this month the company held a ground-breaking ceremony for another new HGV bunker site in the heart of the Golden Triangle of logistics in Northamptonshire.

Certas Energy and Eardley International open new Scottish site

Promising to be ‘a significant addition to the UK’s strategic road and refuelling network’, the Scottish site is located at Junction 19 of the A74(M)motorway at Ecclefechan. Offering a high-speed refuelling system, fuel is dispensed at a speed of up to 120 litres per minute, enabling up to three HGVs to refuel simultaneously.
An official opening, which will be attended by representatives from the local council, as well as Certas Energy and Eardley International, will take place on 7th May.
“We’re looking forward to meeting customers at the official launch event at the beginning of May,” said Certas Energy’s national bunker manager, Andrew Goodwin.
“The Ecclefechan site has been developed to meet the needs of a large portion of Scotland’s driver network. The convenient location and excellent transport links will allow us to forge stronger relationships with drivers north of the border and continue to expand our coverage across the UK.”

Certas Energy and the Red Lion Truck Stop working together in Northamptonshire

The Northamptonshire site is just 400m from the M1 at Junction 16 and will be located alongside the existing Red Lion Truck Stop. The new site will feature a canopy cover design and eight high-speed refuelling pumps.
The project’s ground-breaking ceremony was presided over by Red Lion director, Zarfeen Jetha and marked the project’s first day of construction.
“I’m confident that the addition of the Certas Energy high-speed HGV refuelling facility will prove to be an invaluable addition to our existing offering,” said Zarfeen Jetha.
