New CEO at BoilerJuice

BoilerJuice, which is backed by mid-market private equity firm Livingbridge, has announced the appointment of Lee Cowles as chief executive officer.
Lee, who was previously CEO at Nutmeg, the UK-based online discretionary wealth manager, said:
“It’s incredible to be joining BoilerJuice at a time when they’re on the cusp of unleashing their digital potential. This is a business with a strong track record within the digital space, and I look forward to driving this further.”

During his time at Nutmeg, Lee delivered over 200x growth in customer numbers and 400x growth in assets under management. He also took the business through two additional rounds of funding, and grew its staff from 20 to 80+ full time employees over his tenure from October 2013 – April 2016.
Until 2013, Lee was managing director (Europe) of Blub.com, a self-publishing platform focused on high quality photo books. This followed eight years at Betfair where he rose to the rank of managing director (UK) after joining as head of client operations in 2003.

“A true digital native, Lee’s appointment, will now support BoilerJuice in its next stage of transformation,” added Nick Holt, investment director at Livingbridge.
“We believe Lee’s unique experience at growing digital companies into sector leaders is a trait that will serve the interests of both the company and its customers moving forwards.”
“I would like to thank the former CEO Ian Ronald for all his hard work at BoilerJuice. We wish him well with his future endeavours.
